This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings. A Statement of Attainment will be issued upon successful completion.

h3. *Outcomes/Benefits*

This training will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to manage emergency episodes and deliver competent emergency care until the arrival of professional medical support. To maintain the currency and validity of your skills, industry requires a First Aid Update course to be completed every 3 years from the date of final assessment.
